±1±: Best Buy Okay. I love reading and am always looking for new authors to round out my library. I must say, I was very pleased with "Breaking the Silence." I was instantly sucked in... The characters and the story line felt real. I couldn't put the book down. Melanie, the main character, is forced through circumstances beyond her control to allow a man into her life even though she has sworn off them. Charlie is a police officer with the Atlanta Police Department; he and Melanie's father are partners working a case involving a notorious gang. The gang quickly targets Melanie's family and it's up to Charlie to protect her. The story is full of suspense and well worth the time to read it. I hope this author spins out another book. on Sale!
